AEC performed the acceptance testing and was hired additionally to provide the electrical commissioning for the upgrades of a water treatment plant. The project involved an enhanced recycled water and bio-digester cogeneration system. The new construction required close coordination with the plant owner, a water district and the utility company.
Perform commissioning while the existing portion of the plant is in full operation. Develop the electrical commissioning plan in coordination with the other commissioning activities and use a short accelerated window to complete the work.
AEC modified its acceptance testing schedule to allow for early energization and commissioning of various phases of the project. The acceptance test forms were coordinated with the commissioning test forms to improve the overall efficiency of the point-to-point test procedures and verification of device operation. Despite deficiencies found requiring field modifications and equipment replacement, the project was completed on time and on budget.
